The pomegranate, the fig, the rose, the dove and Venus
This section of the article on Leonardo's paintings and works relates to the relevance of another set of variable and interchangeable images that appear either directly by visual representation, or by allegorically embedded symbolism in so many of his paintings and other works of the period.
The theme is most commonly found to be in the link between the pomegranate, which can be often found in Masonic and Solomonistic contexts, the fig, the rose, the dove and the planet Venus. What do these images and allegories mean? Why did Leonardo so often use them as a symbol within his works and what message was he trying to convey? We shall now examine the use of these themes.
The pomegranate does have particular significance as it holds within it the mark of the pentacle, the encircled star. If you cut an unripe pomegranate across the middle it will show the form of a pentacle within its form. This also applies to the cross section of an apple and an unripe fig. Have you ever wondered why there are so many references to Jesus, figs and figs trees?
The naturally occurring pentagram based structure found within many fruits was often used in past times to portray the symbol that represented the hand of the Force of the All, the Power of Life that resides below and above all things.
The pentacular formation is also often reflected in the imagery associated with the symbol of the dove, which is associated with Jesus. It had to be hidden in this allegorical way so as not to draw the attention of those who wished to destroy the true but hidden teachings.
The planet Venus is associated with the pentacular pattern as it forms both a circular pattern in its orbit, with less than 1% of eccentricity, and the pentacular pattern that it projects upon the earth in its 8 yearly cycle. This pattern contains within it the geometric form of a rose. A similar link may be found between the cycles of Venus and Sunflower seeds, which is why you can sometimes see this plant in esoteric paintings relating to Jesus.
You may also find it to be of interest to know that the meaning of the name Jonah is dove, representing yet again the hidden reference to Venus, the planet associated with the coming of the Messiah. The dove symbolism is used to represent the Messengers, the ones foretold to come and show mankind The Way
The Nazarene brotherhoods used white doves to carry messages, oftentimes to announce the end of wars and battles, and therefore spread important news. They used white doves as they are more difficult to see against the background of the sky than darker birds that might be shot down by enemies.
The Nazarenes, or Nazarites as they were also referred to, were and are the brotherhood of Light, and were also referred to as the Revealers and the Watchers who passed on the hidden knowledge and teachings to Jesus and the followers of The Way. Their secret teachings were passed down through the generations from the time of Dan, the first of the Seven Signs, through Odin, Enoch (Marduk), Moses, Buddha and finally, at that time, to Jesus Ben Miriam who was the sixth of the Seven Signs who would come to mankind to show him The Way.
The clue to the hidden but nevertheless fully visible presence of information within plain sight is that the messenger named Uriel is associated with the planet Venus, which is often referred to as the Bright and Morning Star, a title that is often attributed to Joshua Ben Miriam himself. So once again we come across a common thread that runs through many paintings concerning the Messiahs.
Remember that the word angel originally meant messenger and not the mythical winged entity that it became later on when knowledge became suppressed and blind belief became all.
Leonardo was showing that he understood the hidden meanings of the truth that lay hidden and had been forced underground by those who had hidden the keys of knowledge and not permitted anyone else from accessing it, the main perpetrators being the Church of Rome. Jesus spoke of such people when he made the dog in the manger reference; meaning someone who does not actually need (or is unable to properly use) something that someone else needs but prevents that other person from having it just because they can do so by virtue of control and power.
Jesus said, "Woe to the Pharisees, for they are like a dog sleeping in the manger of oxen; for neither does he eat nor does he let the oxen eat."
The Book Of Man
It has often been asked, "Why the secrecy and semi-concealment of these things?" To understand that you would have to understand that those who hold power by devious and base design do not like to have anyone question their version of how things were and are. Once again, we are dealing with a commonly repeated theme in the history of the beast called man.
The times within which Leonardo and his group lived was a very dangerous time for anyone who might be seen to know more than those who allegedly understood the teachings of Jesus and those who went before him. The Church of Rome controlled vast amounts of lands, armies and people by virtue of the fact that they used the altered teachings of Jesus and used them to wear the mantle of his authority as a deified king, something that Jesus never was in reality.
The true teachings of Joshua Ben Miriam related to the accumulated knowledge and philosophical following known as The Way. He was of The Way and followed the Twelve Laws, the Seven Responsibilities of Man and The Covenant, all of which are now available from this site.
To understand how this was done, you will need to read further on the First Council of Nicaea, which took place in 325 a.d. under the authority of the Emperor Constantine who was in fact himself declared a deity by the Roman Senate.
Another device by which the Church of Rome claimed universal power was via the Donation of Constantine, a document that was in later times shown to be a forgery but allowed the Roman Church to be invested with great temporal wealth and authority. This devious and immoral behaviour and abuse of his authority flew directly against the original teachings of Jesus and was used in a time when very few people could, or were even allowed to read.
