Meeting other Caulbearers

While the number of Caulbearers is generally small in a given population it may be that they will meet another of their kind at some point. They do tend to have an ability to attract (often unknowingly) other Caulbearers even if they have no real knowledge of the phenomena. However, depending on prevailing cultural or social attitudes, they may misunderstand the strong attraction they feel to move towards certain people whom they never met before. They may confuse this sensation as being of a sexual nature as no one has ever explained it to them and therefore become embarrassed or even more confused by one more peculiar event which appears to relate to the very thing that drives them.

At the same time it is not unusual to find Caulbearers who are married to each other due to the attraction of their natures even if they don’t understand why this might be so.
