The Beast

There are many beliefs about the Order. The most ludicrous one we know of is that we don't actually exist. Such an opinion was actually expressed by someone who was talking to three of us at the time. Then again that's belief for you.

Another suggestion is that we are involved in devil worship. Such things are the creation of other religions , not ours. In the Order we have always said that every thing that crawls, swims or flies on the face of the Earth including man is a beast of one form or another. We feed, bleed, breed , live and die as do all other creatures.

However we understand that inside every living creature that lives on the Earth there is a varying degree of humanity which varies from none at all to far too much. This varying degree of humanity either does or does not control the beast which is the base nature of all of us.

We are sure that you have observed this fact at some point in your journey through life even though it may seem unpalatable as man often sees himself as a superior type of creature who is somehow entitled to have dominion over the Earth. Over it but separate from it. Nothing could be further from the truth. The concept of man being a beast was taken by those most perverse amongst us and turned into the idea of Satan, the bogey man whose only purpose was to be used to keep those foolish enough to believe in line.

This perverse concept along with the creation of the old man in the sky who loves us all but is always ready to burn us in hell for eternity (if we should choose not to serve either him or those he supposedly set to rule over us) is the basis of the greatest manipulation of man for the benefit of the few.

We hope that any preconceptions which anyone might have about the Order of The Ancient Way may be alleviated and put into proper context for the benefit of all.
